The All-Ukrainian social organization "The Ukrainian registered Cossacks" (URC) has been registered by the Department of Justice of Ukraine on the 8-th of July 2002 (certificate N 1810).
In the framework of the URC there have been registered and are acting regional, city and district cossacks organizations in all the regions of Ukraine, in Autonomous Republic of Crimea, in Kiev, in Sevastopol the URC consists of nearly 70 thousand cossacks.
The most numerous cossacks organizations in the regions are the Donetsk regional organization of the URC - 12000 members, Lvov regional organization of the URC - 6400 members, the Crimean organization of the URC - 5400 members, Nikolayev regional organization of the URC - 3400 members.
Young people of the age of younger than 30 make up 50% of the Ukrainian Registered Cossacks. Leaders of enterprises, institutions and scientists make up 50%of the URC, 30% of the cossacks of the URC are state servicemen, people working in the sphere of education and culture.
The Ukrainian Registered Cossacks are the elite of the cossacks of Ukraine.
