Miroslav Mihailovich Chopik was born on June 18the 1947 in a village of Bushtino of the Tachivki district, Zakarpatskaya region. He is Ukrainian by nationality, a citizen of Ukraine.
Miroslav Mihailovich has a brother, Chopik Vladimir Mihailovich, born on 1941, who lives now in c.Hust, Zakatpatskaya region.
From 1954 till 1961 he studied in a secondary school n1 in the city Hust, Zakarpatski region. From 1965 till 1966 he worked at a furniture factory in the city Hust.
In October of 1966 he was enlisted to the army. In December of 1966 he was sent to the Tyumenskaya military engineer school which he finished in 1967.
From 1967 till 1970 he served in the army in the Far East as a platoon commander and a company commander.
In June of 1970 he entered the military Engineer Academy after V.V.Kujbyshev, the department of commanding, which he graduated from in 1974. After graduating the Academy he was appointed chief of engineer service of the Prikarpatski Military District. In November of 1974 he was appointed a battalion commander.
In 1977 he was directed to the Far East and was appointed a battalion commander.
From 1980 till 1988 he served in the Far East as a chief of the headquarters and a deputy of a commander of a unit.

A deputy commander of a unit.
From 1988 till 1989 he occupied the post of a deputy commander of a unit of the Prikarpatski Military Disctrict.
Since May of 1989 till now he has been a head of the department of military training of the National University of Water Keeping and Using Nature.
In 2004, when the regional organization of the Ukrainian Registered Cossacks was formed in Rovno, Chopik was elected the regional ataman of the URC.
In 1997 he got married. His wife is Chopik Nadezgda Mihailovna who was born in 1951. In 1980 they had a son Chopik Mihail Miroslavovoch. In 1976 they had a daughter Chopik Oksana Miroslavovna.
