Chornaya Svetlana Fedoseevna was born on April 15 1958. She is a professional journalist.

In 1983 she graduated with honor the department of journalism of the Kiev State University after T.G.Shevchenko. After the graduation she worked as a correspondent and the head of a department for the newspaper "Way to Communism" ( Donetsk region). She also worked for the newspaper " Zarya of Communism" ( Kiev region). Since 1991 she has worked as a special correspondent for a weekly newspaper " Donetsk Novosti". Since 1996 she has occupied the post of the editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Logos".from 1998 she was the editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Dilovi Visti". Since 2003 she has been the editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Ukraina Kozatska".

Her first articles on the topic of the modern Cossacks are dated 1996-1997. Her articles on establishment and development of the URC are published systematically in the newspapers " Uryadovi Kurier", "Donetchina", "Svitlytsya", "Nash Dom", "Magistral", "Molod Ukrainy", Silski Chas", Selskaya Zhizn", "Narodnaya Volna", "Aktsent Ukrainy", "Donbass", magazines "Murcury", "Energy of innovations", "Svyaz", "Transportnaya Academy", 'Omonia"( Athens, Greece) and others.
