Mazepa N.N. was born on January, 16, 1959 in Kostobobrovo, Semenovsky District of the Chernigov Region. He has worked at the building and highways operation department of the Kharkov Road Institute, then a postgraduate study at the same institute. After the postgraduate study he has worked at the Law-enforcement Bodies, at first as a younger officer of the organized crime operative divisions of the Ministry of Interior of the USSR, Ministry of Interior of Ukraine in the Kharkov Region, then as a head of the Custodial Service Department at the Ministry of Interior of Ukraine in the Sumy Region.
After discharge he has headed the Research Cossack Centre named after hetman Mazepa. Under the initiative and by N.N. Mazepa's support in the city of Kharkov in the Socialisticheskaya Street 2zh there was built a monument to the citizens of Kharkov, victims of the Great Patriotic War.
In 2003 he has institute the Literature award named after hetman Mazepa which consists of a testimonial, a breastplate made of silver, a wall certificate and a certificate. The committee includes businessmen, scientists and writers.
He was three times selected as a deputy of the Kiev and Lenin Regional councils of the city of Kharkov headed the district council commission concerning law enforcement activity and anticorruption initiatives.
