Ivan Yakovlevich Shevchenko was born on October, 2, 1928 in Kozhany in the Gordeevsky District of the Bryansk Region. He is highly educated. 1950 - 1955 the Kharkov Institute of Mines; 1961 - 1964 extramural postgraduate study Mining Institute of the ÀS USSR; 1980 - 1984 FPK MIIGAiÊ (Moscow). Cand.Tech.Sci., Associate Professor. He has published 52 scientific works.
1956 - 1957 – the engineer of PÒÎ, construction administration (Bryansk Region);
1957 - 1960 - the engineer of the Dongiproshaht Institute (Donetsk);
1960 - 1961 - the chief of design department at the mine “Mushketovsky” (Donetsk);
1964 - 1968 - the head of the group, the senior scientific adviser DonDGRI
1968 - 1991 – Associate Professor of the DPI, then MISI
1992 - 1993 – the manager of the IPAI of NAS of Ukraine
1995 - 1999 – Associate Professor of the Donbass State Academy of Building and Architecture.
Has a son. The son was born in 1977.
