Anatoliy Ivanovich Shevchenko was born on May 17th in 1948 in Bryansk region into a family of a well-known in the past Cossack from the village Kozhany, Starodubski regiment, Chernigovskaya region Vlas Shevchenko. It was in his childhood when his grandmother Vasilisa and grandfather Yakov showed this village boy-their grandson Anatoliy - the way to God.

Moving along this way in the future defined the main purpose and sense of all Anatoliy Shevchenko's life. It was during his childhood that the most important features of his character began to be molded; ability to sacrifice himself for the sake of people, love to God, openness and courage in solving vitally important problems, thrilling-like attitude towards his friends.

He is married. His wife is Svetlana Yakovlevna, born in 1953. His daughters:  Ella , year of birth - 1974, Elena was born in 1986.

For more than 20 years Anatoliy Shevchenko was in active military service for the KGB (SSU). Out of them he served as an officer of acting reserve for 5 years. He was retired in the rank of a lieutenant-colonel.

In 2003 by orders of Chief of the Security Service of Ukraine Anatoliy Ivanovich Shevchenko was conferred the next following military rank of colonel.

Anatoliy Ivanovich graduated from the faculty of Physics of DonSU on specialty of "Radio Physics and Electronics". In 1985 he defended doctor thesis, in 1990 he defended Ph. Doctor thesis, after which he received a scientific degree of Doctor of science, then that of Ph. Doctor of Technical Science.

In 1991 on initiative of Anatoliy Shevchenko a scientific-research Institute of Artificial Intelligence Problems was created, which was attached to Ministry of education and science of Ukraine and to the national Academy of Science of Ukraine. Anatoliy Ivanovich was appointed Director of this institute. Anatoliy Ivanovich is the author of 153 scientific works, 9 patented inventions and of 19 students' books for secondary schools and universities.

In 1996 jointly with Department of Informatics of the NAS of Ukraine he founded an international scientific theoretical journal "artificial Intelligence" and was appointed its editor-in-chief.

In 1997 on his initiative the Cabinet of Minister of Ukraine established a higher educational establishment - Donetsk State Institute of Artificial Intelligence - on the basis of this institute. By Order of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine Anatoliy Shevchenko was appointed rector of this institute.

For a short period of time the institute has turned into a scientific and educational temple of spirituality. Results of its scientific investigations, which are high computer technologies, are bought today by educational and research institutions and firms of the USA, Germany, England, France, Russia etc.

In 1997 on Anatoliy Ivanovich's initiative a scientific journal "Science. Religion. Society" was created. Professor Anatoliy Shevchenko was appointed editor-in-chief of this journal.

By order of the President of Ukraine "...for a weighty contribution to the cause of development of national education, for implementation of modern methods into the process of education and upbringing of the youth..." Anatoliy Shevchenko was awarded the title of Honored Worker of Science and Technique of Ukraine.

In 1999 by Instruction of the President of Ukraine he was awarded the order "For Merits" of the III grade.

In 2000 on initiative of Anatoliy Ivanovich Shevchenko and like-minded people the All-Ukrainian Party of Spirituality and Patriotism (APSP) was created. The First All-Ukrainian Congress of the APSP elected him unanimously the party's Leader. It is through the party that Anatoliy Shevchenko spreads the principles of spirituality, love, kindness and fairness among people.

In 2000 he defended Ph. Doctor's thesis on "Foundations of Christianity; the Way to the Truth". By decision of Academic Council of Kiev Spiritual Academy of Ukraine Anatoliy Shevchenko was conferred the scientific degree of Ph. Doctor of Theology.

In 2001 by Order of Minister of education and science of Ukraine Anatoliy Shevchenko was appointed rector of Kiev scientific research educational complex "Intellect".

In 2002 he was elected Member of the National Association of Journalists.

In 2002 for the first time in the independent Ukraine the Constituent Velyka Rada (Great Council) of Cossacks approved the post of Hetman of the Ukrainian registered Cossacks. Anatoliy Shevchenko was unanimously elected to the post.

In 2004 by decree of the Presidium of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine Full Professor Anatoliy Shevchenko was awarded the premium after Academician S.A. Lebedev. This premium is awarded to scientists for outstanding scientific achievements in creating means of Informatics and Calculating Techniques.

In 2004 the URC Hetman Anatoliy Shevchenko was elected an honored citizen of the village Kulchitsa, Lvov region, which is the native village of Hetman Pyotr Sagaidachni.

In 2005 he was elected member of rada of the Ukrainian Cossacks attached to the President of Ukraine.

In 2006 the European Academy of Informatics (Belgium, Brussel) conferred Anatoliy Ivanovish Shevchenko scientific degree of Ph. Doctor of Philosophy, according to the number of his scientific works, which are of great practical significance, of scientific value and meet the requirements of the World distributed university of Informatics, giving him the rights, privileges, honors and rewards, which this particular scientific degree can give.

In 2006 during a Joint meeting of the NAS of Ukraine Anatoliy Shevchenko was elected Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine on specialty "Calculation Systems".

By Resolution of Council of Charitable Fund "Art Sponsors of the Motherland" in 2007 for his weighty contribution to the cause of regeneration and prosperity of the World, for greatness of his soul and for sincerity Anatoliy Shevchenko was awarded the order "Rubin Cross".

For regeneration of spirituality and patriotism, for his positive experience in the cause of improving relation s between Ukraine and the USA in the spheres of science, education, culture and business in 2007 in the congress of the state Oklahoma Anatoliy Shevchenko was delivered an official certificate of honor of an Honored Guest of the USA.

In 2007 the Presidium of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine conferred Anatoliy Ivanovich Shevchenko the title of "Inventor of the Year". And delivered him the certificate for high results in inventing and patent-license work.

It is due to the initiative of A.I. Shevchenko that in 2007 the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has reorganized Donetsk State Institute of Artificial Intelligence into the State University of Informatics and Artificial Intelligence of MES of Ukraine. By order of the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine A.I. Shevchenko has been appointed rector of the university, which has been created.

In 2007 by Resolution of Lubenski city council of Poltava region Anatoliy Ivanovich Shevchenko was elected an Honored citizen of c. Luben for his active social work, for patriotic upbringing of the younger generation. Lubny is the place of the historic battle of hetman Severin Nalivaiko.

In 2007 the authorities and the community of the village of Ruda, Zhidachievski district, lvov region, made decision to confer the URC Hetman, Corresponding Member of of NAS of Ukraine Anatoliy Shevchenko the honorable title “Honored Citizen of the village of Ruda”. A family estate of Hetman Ivan Vygodski is still preserved here.

In 2008 by Instruction of the President of Ukraine he was awarded the order "For Merits" of the II grade.

During all his life Anatoliy Ivanovich has building his relations with people on the principles of spirituality and Christian morals.

Anatoliy Shevchenko is doing a hard work, helping lonely elderly people. He takes a spcial care of orphans, destitute children, assists their taking to families, orphanages and boarding schools from the street.

He applies a lot of efforts for uniting people of Ukraine into a united society irrespective of their social status and religious convictions.

Full Professor Anatoliy Shevchenko officially has put forwards the National Idea of Ukraine "God. People. Ukraine" before the President of Ukraine and the Government of Ukraine.

He is a patriot of Ukraine.
