Honoured Architect of Ukraine Vsevolod Mazepa is awarded with Ivan Mazepa's Cross

Honoured architect of Ukraine Mazepa Vsevolod Grigorevich, the chairman of the Foremen Council of the international organization "Mazepa's family" is awarded with Ivan Mazepa's cross. According to the State Head’s decree, the award is appropriated "for a major personal contribution to social and economic, cultural development of the Ukrainian state, considerable labour achievements".

Ivan Mazepa's cross is the award of the President of Ukraine, created by the Decree #189/2009 “About the award of the President of Ukraine - Ivan Mazepa's Cross” from March 25, 2009. With the cross there are awarded citizens of Ukraine, foreign citizens and persons without citizenship for the considerable contribution to revival of national art culture, spirituality, architecture, a military-historical heritage and for merits in state, diplomatic, humanistic, scientific, educational activity and charities.

The cross is made of the gilt silver and has the form of a right equilateral cross with the extending sides which edges are curved to the middle. The cross is covered by crimson enamel. In the cross centre there is a cartouche on which dark blue background there is the image of a Cossack with Ivan Mazepa's army seal.
