Kobzar’s precepts. The official delegation from Estonia visited the museum “Êîbzar”

In Ukraine the official delegation from Estonia: adviser of the Minister of Defence of Estonia, lieutenant general of Defence Forces of Estonia Johanes Kert, chief of the staff of Southern division Kaitseliit Naur Kalev, major Arno Kodu, president of Association of the Ukrainian organizations in Estonia Vladimir Palamar, URC nakaznoi hetman in the Baltic States Andrey Gritskov visited the unique one book museum of Taras Grigorievich Shevchenko – “Êîbzar”.
The museum is unique because it has a considerable collection of Taras Shevchenko’s works which are exhibited together with the documents and materials related to the edition of one or another book.
Members of the delegation and Ukrainian Registered Cossacks, who came to the museum under the invitation of the ataman of the URC Cherkassy regional organization Boris Marchenko, saw the first edition of “Kobzar” which was published in 1840 in Petersburg by the instrumentality of Eugenie Grebenki. The edition included 8 compositions of Òaras Shevchenko, in the beginning of the book there is an etching on V. Shternberg's drawing - kobza player (kobzar) with a boy-guide. Taras Shevchenko’s poetry was entitled according to this generalized image of a national singer.
There is in the museum one more edition of “Kobzar” which was published in 1860 by the instrumentality of Platon Simirenko.
Guests had also interests to the old black-and-white photo exhibition. Excursion in the museum halls was held by its unchallenged director, great-great-granddaughter of Taras Grigorievich Shevchenko Olga Mikhailovna Sharapa who presented to the guests picture postcards with portraits of the Great poet.
