Ensemble “Susidky” of the Associations of the Ukrainian Organizations in Estonia

Cossack special mission of the URC Estonian Cossack association visited the city of Saue which is approximately 10 km from Tallinn to take part in the event “Ukraine Days in the city”. The operation was successfully held.

To be seriously they were invited by the vice-mayor of the city Raphael Amos. The city is one of the richest and most successful self-managements of Estonia. There live 96 % of Estonians there, and it was more interesting to acquaint its citizens with culture of Ukraine.

All guests could visit the Ukrainian folk art exhibition in the hall of the gymnasium. There were also presented the Cossacks attributes as a weapon, awards. The plenipotentiary ambassador of Ukraine in Estonia Pavel Kiriakov gave the information about Ukraine.

Ukraine Days were organized by the vice-mayor of the city. He is not only a big friend of Ukraine, but also in the recent past he was the chairman of the Journalists’ Union of Estonia. Mr. Raphael Amos often goes to Ukraine as the participant of the public educational programs helping development of the Ukrainian mass media.

Mr. Amos is the owner of the big Ukrainian awards collection, the expert on traditions and honourable citizen of the city of Kozylets in the Chernigov Region in Ukraine.

The concert devoted to this event were organized by the Association of the Ukrainian Organizations in Estonia, the ensemble “Susidky”, consisting of Bereguinias of the Estonian Cossack association performed its number. The head of ensemble, URC major Nikolay Rybchenko accompanied to them.

The president of the АUО of Estonia, Vladimir Palamar made a report about history, culture and economics of Ukraine. URC nakaznoi hetman in the Baltic States, Colonel Andrey Gritskov presented the Estonian Cossacks. After the concert Ukrainians together with citizens of Saue danced the Ukrainian and Estonian dances. The cooperation development between self-management and URC Estonian Cossack association were discussed in informal way.

The warm meeting, friendly atmosphere, prolonged applause show the wide prospects of cooperation between Estonia and Ukraine. The board of the Association UOE and URC Estonian Cossacks association planned a number of similar actions in other cities of Estonia and the Baltic States.
