Since long ago these courageous people have defended our land fearlessly against furious enemies, have fought for its independence. Due to these people the past of Ukraine is rich in glorious events: let us only remember the times of Bogdan Khmelnitski, Ivan Mazepa, Petr Doroshenko etc. These great people did everything to preserve the Ukrainian national culture, not to let the Ukrainian customs and traditions perish with time. The principal goal of modern Cossacks is patriotic education of new generation in the spirit of Cossack knighthood, Ukrainian national idea, devotion to the Ukrainian people and to native Ukrainian Motherland.

Today, on the occasion of the holiday we would like to tell you the warmest words, to wish that the Most Holly God's Mother- the Patron and Bereguinya of Cossack troops would always protect you and give Her tenderness and love to you and your families!
