Recently in the Kherson regional children's home Archbishop from Kherson and Taurian Ioann together with the prior of the Kherson Nikolayev Sea Cathedral archpriest Vasily Pasenko carried out the sacrament of baptism. This day there were christened eighteen babies. Representatives of the Kherson Regional Organization of the Ukrainian Registered Cossacks which is headed by ataman Evgenie Kaplenko became godparents of these children.

For carrying out of the ceremony E.A. Kaplenko and the head of the Bereguinias Regional Rada T.I. Rudenko brought together the Cossack representatives from different districts of the region. This event remains for a long time in hearts of Cossacks and Bereguinias of the organization who took upon themselves responsibility for the further life and spiritual education before God of these children demanding constant attention, care and love.

The sacrament of baptism and consecration ceremony into Cossacks

This day new Cossacks were also consecrated into Registered Cossacks who swore fealty to the Ukrainian Registered Cossacks in the solemn conditions in the Kherson Nikolayev Sea Cathedral. Church service was carried out by archpriest Vasily Pasenko who blest new Cossacks and Bereguinias for spirituality, patriotism, love to God, love to a person and sprinkled them with sacred water. Ataman of the KhPO Evgenie Kaplenko carried out the ritual with a saber and called them to serve to God and people of Ukraine.
