On 24th October 2008 in the city of Nikolaev took place Rada of atamans of the Nikolaev area. On Rada there were visitors from Odessa, deputy to Head of administration of Hetman of URC at Southern area in Ukraine colonel of URC N. Zhukov and deputy to chief of a staff on a personal staff of Southern Cossack district of URC major-general of URC S. Beldiev. At the beginning of meeting the order of Hetman of URC on appointment of ataman of the Nikolaev area of lieutenant general of URC V. Terentiev on a post of assistant to Hetman of URC on legal issues and about his assignment of the next Cossack military rank of colonel general of URC was read (the order № 502 from 23.10.2008).

In this solemn day the award of the Ukrainian Registered Cossacks “Bronze Cossack cross” of III degree was handed over to the director of the Nikolaev Art Russian Drama Theatre to colonel of URC N.Kravchenko, deputy to ataman of the Child-youthful Sea School "Sokol" to major of URC S. Dobryansky. We congratulate!

The question on election of a new ataman of the Nikolaev area was the second basic question on council of atamans. Deputy to ataman on organizational work general-major of URC J. Pleshivtsev was recommended for this post. After discussion this nominee was unanimously confirmed.

On 27th October 2008 Head of administration of Hetman in Southern region in Ukraine general-colonel of URC E. Dovbnya congratulated J. Pleshivtsev on appointment to the post of ataman of the Nikolaev area.
