A Cossack small town Chigirin located on the river Tyasmin showed the true world of the Ukrainian Cossacks. And our delegation of the Crimean organization of the Ukrainian Registered Cossacks also took part in celebrating of the 360 anniversary of creation of the Ukrainian Cossack statehood. The delegation included the staff chief of the Crimean organization URC Major General S. Busalaev, the assistant to the staff chief URC Lieutenant A. Gapeshina, the main adviser of Advisers Board URC main ataman in АRC Colonel General V. Datsyuk and the adviser of the main ataman URC Major General S. Melnichenko.

And at last, on October 17, 2009 the President of Ukraine made opening of the restored history and architectural complex of the Residence Bogdana Khmelnitskiy (consists of the house of hetman, the house of his parents, military office and treasury) at Zamkovaya (Bogdanovaya or Kamennaya) mountains of the National historical and cultural reserve Chigirin, this complex recreates architecture and life of 17 centuries. Such exposition have specially prepared for celebrating of the 360 anniversary of creation of the Ukrainian Cossack state. The President has regarded as event through which the nation learns the history. After all in these edges there was an origin of the Ukrainian Cossacks, played the central role in centuries-old struggle of the Ukrainian people for independence and Orthodoxy.

Among open spaces of Srednego Podneprovshina is Chigirinshina, the ancient earth of Cossack glory. In 17 century it became a cradle of the Ukrainian Cossacks, and Chigirin is the first capital of the independent hetman state. Undoubtedly, the city keeps memory of the great hetman of Ukraine Bogdan Khmelnitsky, whose name marks nice pages of the Ukrainian Cossacks.
